About Me

My name is Phil 'Nyirey' Kickett. From Broken Hill NSW, but have just recently moved to Perth WA.

I Have been involved in Youth Ministry for the past 5 years as a youth leader, speaker, songwriter, musician and worship leader for various youth ministries.

More recent, we held our very first ever National Aboriginal Youth conference in Townsville QLD where I had the privilege of leading worship and also writing songs for the conference.

I'm originally Baptist as my father is a Baptist minister and also my commitments with the Uniting Aboriginal and Islander Congress Church.

Favourite bands, I admire the music of Hillsong and Planetshakers in Australia, to see the way they use music to connect with young people and use that as a driving force is an incredible aspect of their ministries. As for single artist's, my favourite guy at the moment is a guy called Pastor E Dewey Smith Jr, who is a Baptist Pastor in the states, but this guy knows how to bring it...DOWN HOME COUNTRY GOSPEL style. You can check him out on Youtube. I love Cece Winans, Andre Crouch, Moe Bandy, Randy Travis, Johnny Cash gospel albums, AEF country Gospel and love the music and artists of the Gaithers music.
